About Us

The Brookside Shopping Centre hosts a Justice of the Peace (JP) signing site, staffed by volunteer JPs from the local community. Our volunteer JPs provide free witnessing and certification services to the public, ensuring convenience and accessibility for all.

Location

Address: Brookside Shopping Centre, 159 Osborne Road, Mitchelton, QLD 4053

Signing Site: Located at the Woolworths end of the shopping centre, between The Coffee Club and Brookside Family Clinic.

Operating Hours:

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• Thursday: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Note: Operating hours may vary during public holidays and special events. Please check with the Brookside Shopping Centre for updates.

Services Provided

Our volunteer JPs can assist with the following services:

• Witnessing signatures on documents, such as statutory declarations or affidavits
• Certifying copies of original documents
• Bank and Qld Land Office title documents
• and more

PLEASE REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING WHEN VISITING US

• Bring a government-issued Photo ID, like your driver’s license or passport.
  If you are signing Titles documents for land transfers, please bring both your passport and drivers license. If you are unsure about the minimum amount of ID, please call the JP Branch or your bank to confirm so you don't need to make multiple trips to see us.


• Bring your own blue or black pen
• Don't forget your documents – photocopying is available at the Brook Nextra Newsagent opposite The Coffee Club. They may charge a fee. We can not provide photocopying
• And, lastly, make sure you have not pre-signed your documents, as they must be signed in front of the JP or C.dec.
